The army got ready for battle and crossed the Jordan with everyone else. They marched quickly past the sacred chest and into the desert near Jericho. Forty thousand soldiers from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and East Manasseh led the way, as Moses had ordered. The priests stayed right where they were until the people had followed the orders that the Lord had given Moses and Joshua. Then they watched as the priests carried the chest the rest of the way across.
And it came to pass, when all the people had completely gone over, that the ark of Jehovah went over, and the priests, in the presence of the people.
And when they had all passed over, the ark also of the Lord passed over, and the priests went before the people.
After the people finished crossing the river, the priests carried the Lord’s Holy Box to the front of the people.
As soon as everybody was on the other side, the priests also took the Covenant Box to the other side. The people watched them as they did this.
When all the people had finished crossing, the Ark of the Lord and the priests crossed over in the presence of the people.
And when all the people had finished passing over, the ark of the Lord and the priests passed over before the people.
And when all the people had finished passing over, the ark of the Lord and the priests passed over before the people.
After they finished crossing the river, the priests carried the Ark of the Lord to the other side as the people watched.
When all the people were clean passed over, the Ark of the Lord went over also, and the Priests before the people.
As soon as everyone had crossed, the priests with the Lord’s ark crossed and went ahead of them.
When they were all on the other side, the priests with the Lord's Covenant Box went on ahead of the people.
and after everyone had finished crossing, the priests with the ark of the Lord crossed in the sight of the people.
The people finished crossing the river. Then the priests carried the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord to the other side. As they carried it, the people watched.
When all of the people had completed their crossing, the ark of the Lord and the priests crossed over in full view of the people.
And when all the people were finished passing, the ark of the LORD passed, and the priests, in the presence of the people.
And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over, that the ark of the Lord passed over, and the priests, in the presence of the people.

The priests carrying the Chest continued standing in the middle of the Jordan until everything God had instructed Joshua to tell the people to do was done (confirming what Moses had instructed Joshua). The people crossed; no one dawdled. When the crossing of all the people was complete, they watched as the Chest of the Covenant and the priests crossed over.
When all the people had finished crossing over, the ark of the Lord and the priests crossed over in the presence of the people.
As soon as everyone had crossed, the priests with Yahweh’s ark crossed and went ahead of them.
and when all the people had completed the crossing, the ark of the Lord also crossed; and the priests were now in front of them.
and when all the people had finished crossing, then the ark of the Lord and the priests crossed in front of the people.

As soon as they did, the ark of the Lord and the priests also went across to the other side. The people were watching them.

When all the people were over, they watched the religious leaders carry the special box of the agreement to the other side.
And when everyone was safely on the other side, the priests crossed over with the Ark of the Lord as the people watched.
As soon as all the people had finished crossing over, the ark of the Lord, and the priests, crossed over in front of the people.

Only then, when all of the people had passed, did the priests bearing the chest of the Eternal cross over into the presence of the people.
When all the people had completely crossed over, Yahweh’s ark crossed over with the priests in the presence of the people.
And when all men had passed [over], also the ark of the Lord passed [over], and (then) the priests went before the people (again).
And it cometh to pass when all the people have completed to pass over, that the ark of Jehovah passeth over, and the priests, in the presence of the people;
